this month you should...
- Remove seed pods from crape myrtles.
- Plant spring bulbs- tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, etc.
- Add mulch to your beds to prevent weeds, retain moisture and help protect roots from the cold weather.
- Plant or transplant trees and shrubs.
- Mow your lawn to even out the brown grass, which will give it a crisp appearance.
- Plan to prepare your beds for spring landscapes.
- Call us in January to prune your shade trees for a 20% discount.
- Remove the mistletoe from trees.
- Apply pre-emergent to lawn for weed control.
- Spray dormant oil on fruit trees and plants that are prone to scale.
- Sprinklers should be set to water 1 time in a 2 week period. Rain/freeze sensors should be checked.
